Dr. Hemang Shah is a board-certified neurologist at Kernodle Clinic in Burlington, NC. Known for his thoughtful and patient-first approach, Dr. Shah is committed to providing personalized neurological care that combines clinical excellence with compassion.
He completed his Internal Medicine internship, Neurology residency, and Clinical Neurophysiology fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. During his fellowship, he received advanced training in Electromyography (EMG) and Electroencephalography (EEG), which are essential tools for diagnosing complex neurological conditions.
Before his residency, Dr. Shah conducted stroke research at UNC Chapel Hill, contributing to a deeper understanding of cerebrovascular care. He also brings global experience from his earlier medical education in India, where he earned his MBBS and worked in both hospital and teaching settings.
In his current role, Dr. Shah provides comprehensive neurological care for a wide range of conditions. In addition to evaluations and ongoing care, his clinic offers in-house diagnostic testing, including EEG, office video EEG, Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS), and EMG. Therapeutic services include:
